ULYSSES – Hayward Beauchamp, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.
He was born Oct. 21, 1927, to John and Shellie (Wilson) Beauchamp in Falls of Rough, Ky.
He married Donna Hardin April 24, 1982. She survives.
He served from 1951 until 1953 as a medic in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an elevator manager for Collingwood Grain in Johnson, from 1966 until his retirement in 1996.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, dogs, antique tractor pulls and traveling to Branson, Mo.
He is also survived by his sons, Keith Beauchamp and wife, Karen, Olathe, Kevin Beauchamp, McPherson, Kent Beauchamp, Johnson, and Kelly Beauchamp, Canon City, Colo.; daughter, Kara Cravens and husband, Russ, Minot, N.D.; sister, Edna Ferry and husband, E.B.. Leitchfield, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
o Memorial graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson, with Pastor Gerry Dupuis presiding and military rites conducted by the Johnson VFW Post No. 3684.
