Ismael Zuniga-Garcia, 51, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 12, 1961, to Ismael Zuniga and Elena Garcia- Zuniga in South Saucillo, Chih., Mexico.
He married Julia Patricia Gonzalez–Cabrales April 5, 1982. She survives.
He was self-employed in food service and known around Liberal as “Burrito Man.”
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Other survivors include his mother; two sons, Edgar Rene Zuniga, Liberal, and Jesse Ray Zuniga, Wichita; one daughter, Brisa Lorena Zuniga, Liberal; four brothers, Phillip Garcia and Maria Torrez, Seymour, Texas, Lorenzo Garcia and wife, Bonnie, La Luz, N.M., Ernesto Zuniga of New Mexico and Ismael Zuniga Jr. and wife, Mirella, of New Mexico; four sisters, Teresa Torrez and husband, Ralph, Liberal, Lupe Jimenez and husband, Armando, Garden City, Isabel Zuniga of New Mexico and Miría de Los Angeles Garcia; and four grandchildren, Monique Rene Zuniga, Edgar Rene Zuniga Jr., Geraldo Ismael Zuniga and Emiliana de la Cruz
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Carmen Garcia and Rosaura Garcia.
o Rosary and vigil will be at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Liberal.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with Father Hector de la Vega presiding.
Cremation will follow the service, and burial will take place at a later date.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel, Liberal.
