ELKHART – Joe Leslie Davidson, 65, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
He was born Jan. 29, 1947, to Betty (Crawford) and Cecil Davidson in Stratton, Colo.
He married Claudine Allen Dec. 22, 1981, in Elkhart. She survives.
He attended schools in Richfield and later Rolla. After graduation, he enrolled at the Liberal Vo-Tech School and completed a study in diesel mechanics.
He worked for Morton County Road Department and at Colorado Interstate Gas.
He served on the school board for more than 20 years, volunteered as a fireman for more than 40 years and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Elkhart.
He is also survived by four children, Summer Stewart, Tiffany Davidson, Jeff Davidson and Carrie Jo Davidson, all of Elkhart; his brother, Jim Davidson, Mustang, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Greg and Phillip; and sister, Kathy.
o Funeral service were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Morton County Civic Center in Elkhart.
Burial was at the Richfield Cemetery.
