TYRONE, Okla. – Arlene Janice Wright died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.

She was born Aug. 20, 1931, to Joseph Earl and Gladys D. (Pierson) Smid in Liberal.

She married Myrle (Pete) E. Wright in July of 1951. He preceded her in death.

She attended school in Liberal.

She was a member of Yellow Freight Wives and attended The Believers Ministry Church.

She enjoyed doing calligraphy and other arts.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Wright, Tyrone, Okla., and Pete Wright, Norwich; one daughter, Barbra and husband, Luke Dailing, Tyrone; two brothers, Joe Smid, Iowa Falls, Iowa, and James Smid, Stanley, N.M.; and two sisters, Myrle Wilkerson, Turpin, Okla., and Jean Fox, Liberal.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jarrel and Jack Smid.

o A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Believers Ministry Church in Liberal.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Arlene Wright Memorial Fund in care of First National Bank of Liberal, 1700 N. Lincoln, Liberal, KS 67905.
