HUGOTON – Robert P. (Shorty) Walker, 73, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 5, 1939, to Georg and Thelma (Jacobson) Walker in Chicago.
He enjoyed talking to his family and friends, collecting baseball caps, watches and balloons and TV and radio.
Survivors include seven brothers, George Walker, Denver, Tim Walker and wife, Betty, Lakewood, Colo., Steven Walker, Aurora, Colo., Jonathan Walker and wife, Ann, Newton Ville, Mass., Gregory Walker, Denver, Thomas Walker and wife, Sue, West Minster, Colo., and Kenneth Walker of California; three sisters, Beverly Lohn, Salem, Ore., Gloria Waters, Atlanta, and Eleanor Walker, Hugoton and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David Matthew Walker, and two sisters, Octavia Walker, Marie Christian Walker.
o Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, Hugoton, with Pastor Robert Rich and Pastor Steve Hittle presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Lighthouse Fellowship Church at Hugoton.
