After scoring just 16 points in the first half, the Hooker Lady Bulldogs scored 31 in the second half for a come-from-behind 47-37 victory over the Boise City Lady Wildcats in the girl's third place game of the Texhoma Invitational.

Trailing 21-16 at the start of the third quarter, Hooker outscored Boise City 17-10 in the third to take a 33-31 lead into the fourth quarter.

The Lady Bulldogs outscored Boise City by eight (14-6) to win by 10.

In the first quarter Boise City was strong, taking an 18-10 lead by the end of the first. A very low scoring second quarter (the two team combined for nine points) still left Boise City with a five-point lead at half.

Mariana Cervantes led the Lady Bulldogs offensive surge with a game-high 23 points. Shania Miller added 16, and all-tournament team selection Jade Cathcart had 5.

Hooker (14-5) will host Walsh, Colorado Tuesday.

Turpin 46, Hardesty 39

The Turpin Lady Cardinals got their first tournament win of the season after losing their first eight tries. The Lady Cardinals took down the Hardesty Lady Bison 46-39 for their second win of the week.

Balanced scoring was a big key for the Lady Cardinals with three players reaching double figures. Raegan Alvarez scored a team-high 12 points, and Alyssa Kinser and Ashi Funk each added 10.

Turpin gained the lead early, leading 14-9 at the end of the first quarter. Each team scored nine in the second to leave the Lady Cardinals up by five (23-18) at half.

Hardesty cut the lead to three with an 11-9 advantage in the third (32-29).

Turpin answered back in the fourth with a 14-10 advantage to secure their third win of the season.

Turpin will host Guymon Tuesday.

Goodwell 41, Tyrone 33

A bad third quarter put Tyrone in tough position for a comeback, eventually succumbing to the Goodwell Lady Eagles, 41-33.

After a 9-7 second quarter in the Lady Bobcats favor left Tyrone down just one at half (16-15), Goodwell took control of the game with a 16-6 advantage in the third.

Tyrone tried to battle back, outscoring Goodwell 12-9 in the fourth but could not overcome the 11-point deficit.

Tori Dumler led Tyrone with 15 points; six other Lady Bobcats scored 5 or fewer points.

The schedule does not get any easier for the Tyrone (7-12) as they travel to No.3 Balko (19-1), who will be coming off their first loss of the season.
