Liberal fell behind 7-0 in the first three minutes and never made a serious run against Hays Friday in a 57-31 loss.

The Lady Redskins have now lost six games in a  row and fell to 4-12.

Liberal has not won a Western Athletic Conference game since 2011 and only has three chances left, starting Saturday with a Homecoming match-up against Great Bend in The Big House.

Jai Chapman led the Lady Redskins with 11 points, and Marisol Regalado added eight.

Indians 60, Redskins 46

For the second straight game against Hays, the third quarter proved to be devastating in a 60-46 loss.

Liberal jumped out to a 13-6 lead before Hays was able to rally in the second to take a 22-20 lead at half.

But turnovers led to a 20-8 advantage for Hays in the third, and the Indians were able to maintain their 14-point lead in the fourth quarter to earn the win.

JJ Lewis led Liberal with 13 points, Blake Stout scored 11, and William Ross added 10.

The Redskins will host Great Bend Saturday for Homecoming.
