BEAVER, Okla. – Pauline May Pirtle Nickerson, 92, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Good Samaritan Nursing Facility in Liberal.

She was born Jan. 6, 1921, to James Albert and Pearl M. (Leonard) Stanford in Floris, Okla.

She married Ross Lee Pirtle May 20, 1940, in Guymon, Okla. He died July 30, 2002.

She then married James Nickerson June 22, 2004, in Hough, Okla.

She graduate from high school.

She was a homemaker all her life.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and church clubs, including WSCS, UMW and WCTU.

She enjoyed painting pictures.

She is survived by daughters, Junetta Barby, Beaver, Okla., Joy Shryock, Forgan, Okla., JoAnn Herchock, Beaver, and Janell Pirtle, Forgan; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Beaver United Methodist Church with Stan Lehnert and Rodney Barby presiding.

Burial will be at the Pioneer Cemetery.
