Obituary

ULYSSES – Jack Eslick, 84, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.

He was born Nov. 5, 1928, to Earl and Leota (Hannafious) Eslick in Walsh, Colo.

He graduated from Walsh High School.

One of his first jobs was working at the Wilburton Elevator.  From 1955 until 1976, he worked at the Gano Elevator in Hickok. From 1976 to present, he did various farm related jobs.  For many years, he trained race horses and was involved in horse racing.

He enjoyed watching sports and attending his kids and grandkids activities.

He is survived by two sons, Courtney Eslick and wife, Darlene, Ulysses, and Shane Eslick and wife, Denny, Lakin; daughter, Jackie Peters and husband, Allan, Great Bend; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Garold, Cecil, Mildred Janney, Alfred, Harold, Calvin, Jack and Harley.

o Memorial service will be at 1 p.m.  Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses, with Pastor Jon Becker presiding.

Memorials are suggested to the Big Orange Boosters in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
