Seward’s offense never got on track Tuesday afternoon at Brent Gould Field, and the Saints dropped two non-conference games to Rose State, 6-1 and 9-4.

Seward only scored one run in 12 innings before the offense finally made a dent on the Rose State pitchers in the sixth inning of Game 2.

The Saints were abel to push four runs across the plate and left two more stranded on base to cut the Rose State lead to 6-4.

Johnny Griffith took the mound in the top of the seventh and gave up three runs on four singles and a close call at the plate.

Seward (11-15) went down in order in the bottom of the seventh for the loss.
