Obituary

Nancy Gail Tolento, 56, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at her residence in Liberal.

She was born Aug. 31, 1956, to Leonard Leroy and Mildred Ruth (McCants) Jacobs in Liberal.

She graduated from Hooker High School in 1974 and Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Goodwell, in 1978. She received a master’s degree from Northwest Oklahoma State University, Alva, graduating with a 4.0 GPA.

She was employed by USD No. 480 as a counselor. She retired in 2012.

She was a member of Needles and Friends Quilt Guild and Timeless Treasures Quilt Guild.

Survivors include one son, Michael Tolento, Liberal; one daughter, Ana-Alicia Tolento, Shawnee; and one sister, Lenda Rae (Jacobs) Blain and spouse, Robert E. Blain, Liberal.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Ronnie Leroy Jacobs.

• Memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home, with Pastor Rex Petty presiding.

Burial will follow at Hooker Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Angels For Animals, and sent in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second Street, Liberal, KS 67901.
