ULYSSES – Denise Lopez Gonzalez, 50, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at her parent’s home in Ulysses.
She was born March 5, 1963, to Domingo and Rachael (Sanchez) Lopez in Tulia, Texas.
She married Alfredo Gonzalez. He survives.
She attended Ulysses schools.
She worked at IBP in Holcomb and Seaboard Farms. She was currently employed at Hooker Elementary School as a teacher’s aide for kindergarten. She also taught ESL in Hooker.
She was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana in Hooker.
Other survivors include her parents; her son, Alfredo Gonzalez Jr., Hooker; sisters, Carmen Orosco, Ulysses, Grace Chavez, Ulysses, Amanda Sierra, Johnson, and Stephanie Barrios, Ulysses; and aunts, and uncles.
o Memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Hooker.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Primera Iglesia Bautista in Ulysses, with Pastor Manuel P. Perez presiding.
Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery.
Friends may call until 4 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
