Obituary

Addie W. “Winnie” Bruner, 95, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at Minneola District Hospital.

She was born Feb. 3, 1918, to John Andrew and Mary Elizabeth (Nethery) Blundell in Chetopa.

She married David A. Williams.  He was killed in World War II.

She then married Roland F. “Ray” Bruner.  He preceded her in death.

She graduated from Liberal Beauty College and owned Winnie’s Beauty Shop for 12 years.  She was deputy register of deeds for Seward County for 25 years.

She is survived by her son, the Rev. David E. Williams and wife, Beverly, Canadian, Texas; and grandchildren, Mark E. Williams and wife, Laura, Great Bend, David A. Williams, Great Bend, Stephen D. Williams and wife Angie, Manhattan, and Tami Matteson and husband, Lonnie, Pottsboro, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Mortuary with the Rev. David Williams and the Rev. Mark Williams presiding.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. till service time Wednesday at Miller Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Giddeon’s in care of Miller Mortuary.
