William “Meechie” Pugh, 42, died Monday, April 1, 2013, in rural Seward County.
He was born Nov. 8, 1970, to Sidney Bynum and Freddie Mae Pugh in St. Louis.
He obtained his GED in Oklahoma.
He was currently employed at Rok Hard Ready Mix Co. of Liberal as a truckdriver and was formerly employed by Halliburton.
Survivors include his mother, Freddie Mae (Pugh) Smith and husband, Larry, St. Louis; three sons, Deontrel Pugh, Liberal, and Ramaud Pugh, Kansas City, Mo., and Terrance Pugh, Liberal; step-son, Trent VanWyhe, Liberal; four daughters, Nia Pugh, Kansas City, Mo., Angelia Pugh, Liberal, Joyful Pugh, Liberal, and Zoey Pugh, Plains; three brothers, Jerome Richards and wife, Marissa, St. Louis, Christopher Pugh, St. Louis, and Sydney Pugh and wife, Tyronda, St. Louis; three sisters, Carla Charles, St. Louis, Emma Pugh, St. Louis, and Kathy Pugh, Liberal, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his father.
o Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at All Nations Church, Liberal, with Pastor Jimmy Holman presiding.
Burial will be at the Liberal Cemetery.
