Madaylne Wilson, 92, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.

She was born Aug. 5, 1919, to Thomas and Della Sarah (Yerian) Whitley in Grant County, Okla.

She married Melvin Wilson in 1950 in Arkansas. He preceded her in death.

She attended rural school for six years then went to town for her remaining high school years. She attended four different colleges and obtained her elementary education degree.

She taught school in Dighton and Garden City.  She owned and managed rental properties for 30 years.

She was a 67-year member of Eastern Star.

She enjoyed horses, roller skating, ice skating, water skiing, snow skiing, square dancing and traveling.

She is survived by one son, Leonard Wilson, Ulysses.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Melva Linda Zweygardt.

• Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses, with Pastor Gerry Dupuis presiding.

Burial will be at a later date.
