In three of the Rockies four games this season, the outcome has been determined by a single run.

The first two times, the Rockies were on the short end, but after jumping out to a big lead Friday at Rosel Field, the Rockies had to win in extra innings over the Cardinals, 12-11.

Brodie Warren got the start for the Rockies, and for the first three innings he only allowed one Cardinal to cross the plate.

The Rockies were able to get hits against Cardinal starter Saul Mendoza including a home run from Cesar Burciaga.

The Rockies jumped out to a 4-1 lead then added two more, and by the fourth inning the Rockies had a comfortable 6-1 lead.

But the Cardinals rallied.

By the end of six innings, the two teams were tied.

The Rockies were able to break the 11-11 tie in the bottom of the seventh, and the Rockies had claimed their first one-run win. The Cardinals dropped their first game of the season in the loss.
