CIMARRON – Pete Koehn, 88, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at the Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.
He was born March 7, 1921, to Joe and Ida (Dirks) Koehn in Gray County.
He married Pearl Opal Smith Oct. 3, 1943, in Copeland. She died March 8, 1997.
He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite of Cimarron.
Survivors include one son, Don Koehn and wife, Marlene, Montezuma; two daughters, Verna Koehn, Cimarron, and Velda and husband, Duane Ratzlaff, Cimarron; one brother, Lee Koehn, Montezuma; four sisters, Julia Buller, Montezuma, Osie Koehn, Garden City, Tillie Wedel and husband, Eugene, Montezuma, and Katherine Becker and husband, Melvin, Moundridge; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Koehn, Dodge City; and other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jacob, and one sister, Carrie Tyler.
o Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Cimarron.
Burial will be at Cimarron Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Montezuma Funeral Home and from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
