Marilyn Rader, 69, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Omaha, Neb.
She was born Jan. 7, 1944, to Edman and Velma (House) Hampton in Blackwell, Okla.
She married Johnnie Rader March 31, 1966, in Nardin, Okla. He preceded her in death.
She worked at the Perryton Equity Exchange grain elevator for 14 years and sold Avon out of the home for 25 years.
She was an avid reader, enjoying Bible reading, fiction and non-fiction books, newspapers and magazines, as well as reading online, keeping up with current events, e-mail, and Facebook. In addition to enjoying her favorite TV shows, she also enjoyed watching the online services of Christ Community Church of Omaha and also attended local services at Good Samaritan, as well as attending movies, musical performances, having her fingernails painted, group cooking events and other activities.
She is survived by three children, Patty Sthole, Winfield, Troy Rader, Omaha, and Ty Rader, Turpin, Okla.; her sister Darlene Leclair, Ponca City, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Travis, and her brother, Walter Lee.
• A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Blackwell, Okla., with the Rev. Chester Ward presiding.
