The Liberal Redskins opened the 2010 bowling season at GArden City earlier this week.

The varsity boys were lead by Jared Stebens. His high game was a 192, and he also had the high series of a 509.

Josh Mitchell had a 180 and 187 and a series of a 492.

The boys as a team shot a 1989.

The JV boys were led by Hunter Sandell. His high game was 170 and his series was 478.

The varsity girls were led by Morgan Johnson and Kimberly Vanley.  Johnson had a high game of 192, and Vanley had a high game of 191. Vaney also had the high series of a 510.

Erica Fowler helped the girls team by bowling a 484 series.

The varsity girls bowled a 1,961.

The JV girls high game was a 179 by Kali Killingworth. Her series was  416.

“Overall not bad for the first match,” Liberal bowling coach Eric Steiner said. “But we have a long way to go.”

Liberal hosts Dodge City at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Ayr Lanes.
