HUGOTON – Lidia Garza, 74, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
She was born March 6, 1935, to Barnabe and Patricia (Liseano) Flores in Taft, Texas.
She married Jose Garza Nov. 27, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas. He died March 26, 2005.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hugoton.
Survivors include five sons,Joe Luis Garza, Dodge City, Carlos Garza and wife, Dora, Ulysses, Victor Garza and wife, Lydia, Hugoton, Richard Garza, Sublette, and Elias Garza, Hugoton; two daughters, Shirlee Pineda, Hugoton, and Carolina Garza, Hugoton; four sisters, Baly Molina and husband, Willie, Crosbyton, Texas, Cuca Solis, Wolfforth, Texas, Concha Gallardo and husband, Miguel, Meadow, Texas, and Frances Mata and husband, Esternto, Greeley, Colo.; 27 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gilberto Garza; three brothers, Daniel, Eulogio and Jesus Flores; one sister, Maria Jimeniz; and three grandchildren, Victoria Rios, Amanda Rios and Marcos Garza.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Hugoton with ministers Ben Coats and Mike Garza presiding.
Burial will be at the Ulysses Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Paul’s Funeral Home.
