Dodge City dominated the Willow Tree Golf Course Tuesday, sweeping the top six spots to win the Invitational. Liberal finished fifth in a tight pack between the Redskins, Great Bend and Garden City.

The Red Demons carded a 291, Garden City turned in a 325, Garden City shot a 340, Great Bend carded a 343, and Liberal finished at 347.

Blake Stout was Liberal’s top finisher with an eighth place overall finish.

“We have to stay focused for a shot at state,” Liberal coach Kody Thexton said. “We have regionals at Liberal, so I hope we will wake up and play the way we practice. The seniors have to get it done or they will be done.”

The regional tournament takes place at 9 a.m. Monday at Willow Tree.
