Dr. Rane adds new lasers to get you ready for summer.
Liberal’s Dr. Mona Rane offers her clients many of the typical surgery options which they might be interested in.
To assist her in that capacity, Dr. Rane recently bought two new lasers on board in her office.
First is the Sciton Laser which performs several types of treatments.
FOREVER YOUNG BBL
What is it used for?
Forever Young BBL treats a wide variety of conditions. For skin rejuvenation, age spots, freckles, redness, small vessels and more. Forever Young BBL can also be used to reduce unwanted hair and control active acne.
A ground breaking study at Stanford University reveals that Forever Young BBL can restore gene expression of aged human skin to resemble much younger skin.
What happens during Forever Young BBL treatment?
A cool gel is first applied to the treatment area. Then, a chilled applicator is placed on the skin to deliver the light therapy. In most cases you can apply makeup immediately so there is virtually no downtime.
When do I see results from Forever Young BBL?
Patients have seen improvements in full-face rejuvenation, pigmentation, skin texture after BBL treatments. Patients who maintain a regular regimen of BBL treatments annually can reduce and delay long term signs of skin aging in a way that looks very natural .
What is MicroLaserPeel?
A MicroLaserPeel removes a thin layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be administered with great precision of depth. The procedure is performed in Dr Rane’s office and can be custom tailored to your specific skin conditions and desired outcome.
Primary treatments include:
• Mild to deep wrinkles
• Persistent peri-oral and peri-orbital deep wrinkles
• Acne scars, post-traumatic and surgical scars
• Actinic keratoses
• Pigmented lesions
• Lax skin in all areas (including upper and lower eyelids)
• Poor skin tone/texture
• Sciton-Contour TRL can treat all skin types, both on face and body.
What will happen during the procedure?
Your skin will be cleaned in the treatment area and your eyes will be protected with safety shields. Dr. Rane will position the laser handpiece above the skin and will hold it in place as the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area. Depending on the size of the area being treated, the procedure usually lasts 15 to 30 minutes.
How long will it take to recover?
Depending on the depth of treatment, most patients feel comfortable enough to return to work within 3 to 4 days – an attribute that has given rise to the nickname “the weekend pee.”
Creates clean, micro-ablated channels in the skin, which activate fibroblast production. The result is increased turgor and thickness to the skin. Leaving surrounding tissue intact helps promote rapid healing due to presence of stem cells and melanocytes in the papillary dermis.
Other laser is used to firm skin.
What happens during skin firming treatment?
Topical anesthesia is not usually needed for this procedure, but you may choose to have it when treating more sensitive areas.
Results often include some immediate noticeable firmness within the first month. Long lasting firmness in skin texture develops gradually, taking about four months to become fully visible. Two to five treatments are generally recommended at two- to four-week intervals in order to achieve maximum skin firming benefit.
VASER Shape is a non-invasive ultrasound and massage therapy treatment that smoothes, firms and shapes the body. VASER Shape temporarily reduces the appearance of cellulite, and increases local blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.
The treatment uses ultrasound waves to warm the targeted problem area and treat the underlying fatty tissue. It is a comfortable massage-like treatment that only requires three to five sessions for noticeable results.
Following the procedure, patients can resume normal activity without pain or downtime.
