Two Redskins qualify for state PDF Print E-mail

Michael Begley and Blake Stout will be making a trip to state after qualifying during the Regional golf tournament at Willow Tree Golf Course Monday.

As a team, the Redskins finished fifth out of seven. The top three teams qualified for the state tournament as well as the top individual golfers.

Hays won the tournament with a 311. Salina Central took second with a 317 and own a tie breaker with Goddard Eisenhower who shot a 317 for third.

Great Bend took fourth with a 339, and only three strokes behind were the Redskins at 339.

Salina South was sixth with a 356, and Goddard was seventh with a 357.

Blake Stout was 12th overall out of 42 golfers with an 82.

Michael Begley was 16th overall with an 83.

Garrett Poulton shot an 86, Daniel Dowell and Hunter Sandell each shot a 91, and George Fitzgerald rounded out the field of Redskins with a 97.

Begley and Stout will travel to Overland Park Monday for the state tournament.
