In a first for the Lady Redskin swim team, the 200-yard freestyle squad competed at the state meet.

It was the first state qualifier for the Lady Redskins since the inception of the program.

The team consisted of three freshmen and a junior, indicating a possible return in years to come. The relay squad swimmers were freshmen Macy Hintergardt, Erika Martinez, Paige Young and junior Tessa Downs.

The team finished 31st out of 39 teams.

Blue Valley Southwest won the swimming state title.

The Lady Redskins practice at the Seward County Community College/Area Technical School pool and due to the size of the pool do not have an adequate facility to host a home event anywhere in Liberal.
