MEADE – Daniel E. “Danny” Bachman, 65, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Tonganoxie.
He was born July 20, 1947, to Edgar A. and Emilie P. (Peiffle) Bachman in Melrose Park, Ill.
He attended the Meade school system and graduated from Meade High School in 1965. After graduation, he attended Wichita State University.
In 1967, he joined the United States Air Force. After his discharge, he worked for the Michigan-Wisconsin Pipeline as a technician, and later for the Missouri Department of Corrections as an electronics technician.
He was a member of the Lutheran faith and a former member of the Lions Club.
He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, science, history, cooking, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by son, David Bachman, Savannah, Mo.; daughter, Lori Holmgren and husband, Jim, Tonganoxie; brother, Kenneth D. Bachman, Stockton; and three grandchildren, Jackson, Charles, and Colton Holmgren, Tonganoxie.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Darrel L. Bachman.
o Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church in Meade, with the Rev. Lynn E. Spencer presiding.
Burial will follow at the Plains Cemetery.
Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until the service begins at the church on Friday.
