Leola Holmes, 97, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Centura Hospice in Thornton, Colo.

She was born to Julius and Ila Beatrice (Ward) Katzer in Jefferson City, Mo.

She married Milford Eugene Holmes May 18, 1935, in Hooker, Okla. He died April 22, 1987.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Sue Holland and husband, Valdon, Northglenn, Colo., Betty Immell, Farmington, N.M., and Genie Schaller and husband, Keith, New Strawn; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;  five nephews; and one niece.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters and son-in-law, Robert Immell.

• Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Liberal.

Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church.
