The Hooker Lady Bulldogs picked up a road win Tuesday night against county rival Texhoma 50-43.

The Lady Red Devils took an early 10-9 lead in the first, but Hooker held them to three points in the second quarter to regain the lead, 16-13 at the half.

Both teams played better offensively in the second half, as the Lady Bulldogs increased their lead to six heading into a wild fourth quarter.

Texhoma picked up the pace trying to make a comeback, but Hooker matched them bucket for bucket to win 50-43.

Shayla Mathis led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 points and Lucero Ugarte added 12. Lyndi Berry led Texhoma with 13.

Hooker will play Tyrone, Thursday at 11 a.m., in the first round of the Texhoma Tournament.
