BOISE CITY, Okla. (AP) — Boise City police say one man is dead and the gunman is being sought in a shooting outside a convenience store in the Oklahoma Panhandle town.
Police told reporters at the scene that the victim was shot outside the Loaf N' Jug convenience Wednesday afternoon after parking and getting out of his pickup truck that was pulling a camper trailer.
Police say the victim was approached by a man in the parking lot and that the gunman then fled the scene.
No names have been released.
Phone calls to Boise City police and the Cimarron County Sheriff's Office were not immediately returned. An Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirms that the agency is assisting with the investigation – but said she had no other details.
