During the LHS Booster Club Country Showdown Friday evening, country music lovers will have the opportunity to make a donation for a chance at bringing home a bit of memorabilia from the Saturday evening Bucky Covington concert.
“We were trying to think of a way to promote the concert and in turn raise money for the Booster Club,” Joe Denoyer of 102.7 The Legend said. “I got to thinking we could probably sell tickets on Friday night and then Saturday right before Bucky comes on stage. Then we would just let the Booster Club have all of the ticket proceeds.”
The winning ticket holder will be awarded with a autographed guitar from Covington himself. Second prize is an autographed Bucky Covington T-shirt, third prize will be an autographed Bucky Covington CD.
Tickets will only be available at Friday evening’s Country Showdown – admission is $5 to enjoy 25 acts – and before Covington’s Saturday night concert.
Denoyer added all proceeds go to the LHS Booster Club. He said although winners need not be present to win, however, it would be nice.
“Come out and enjoy the show,” Denoyer concluded. “It is going to be a great Showdown weekend.”
