Obituary

ULYSSES – Garold W. Jarvis, 81, died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his home in Wichita.
He was born July 28, 1931, to E. Wayne and Reba D. (Davis) Jarvis in southern Grant County.
He married Marilou Frazier May 5, 1950, in Ulysses. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Verlan Jarvis; two daughters, Roxana L. Miller and Cathryn L. Jarvis, all of Wichita; one sister, Donna L. Giles, Clinton, Okla.;  ten nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren;
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth J; one daughter, Brenda Jolene Jarvis; and one granddaughter, Rebecca Reeves.
• Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in  Ulysses, with the Rev. Janet Hernandez presiding. 
Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. 
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses. 
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Ascension Lutheran Church, Maple Campus, Wichita, both in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant, Ulysses, KS 67880.
