Misti Bohl, Chairman of the Southwest Kansas Walk to End Alzheimer’s has announced that Emeritus at Liberal Springs, First National Bank, Wheatridge Park Care Center and Liberal Good Samaritan Center will participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Liberal. Walk is scheduled for Oct. 26 at Emeritus at Liberal Springs, located at 1500 Terrace Ave. in Liberal.
These businesses are expected to join 200 residents from Southwest Kansas in the 1- or 2-mile Walk to End Alzheimer’s to support the Alzheimer’s Association.
Alzheimer’s disease affects more than 53,000 people in Kansas.
“We have been personally affected by Alzheimer’s,” Bohl said. “We know firsthand that it is critical to support the Alzheimer’s Association. The funds we raise help families like ours and advance important research that could change the course of Alzheimer’s disease for future generations.”
Bohl added they are desperately in need of sponsors, teams and walkers to meet their goal.
