Special to the Leader & Times

Yucca Ridge Golf Club held its “Mulley” tournament over the weekend with a good turnout in some great golfing weather.

The tournament was played as a modified one-person scramble – if you took a second shot you had to play it.

Taking first this year shooting even par 70 was John Humble.

“You had to know your game to decide your odds of bettering your shot,” Superintendent Trent Kitch said.

Paul Castillo and Derek Fuller tied for second place five strokes back with a 75. In fourth place was Levi Eaton carding a 77. Fifth place went to Richard Freeman with 79.

Coming up in August is the Yucca Ridge “Open” event which includes both mens and ladies individual play to determine the 2013 champion and is scheduled for Aug. 24 and 25.

For more information on this or other events at Yucca Ridge, or to make a tee time, call 62-4GOLF or Trent at 482-0243.
