I am an avid lover of all sports. But my greatest love has always been baseball.
Since I was a child I have followed the sport every summer. I follow every player on every team, just waiting for some great moment in the sport’s history to be made.
With that being said, it has become a little tougher to follow in recent years, and as a result, perhaps my love has faded.
Watching a game on television is just not as exciting as it once was.
This summer however, I was blessed with the opportunity to follow the Liberal Bee Jays. A team I had not watched since my childhood.
In my mind, if it wasn’t pro ball, it wasn’t worth watching.
Boy was I wrong.
I will always remember this summer because of the Bee Jays.
Whether it was Austin Murphy hitting two home runs in a game , or Lewis Guilbeau launching a rocket towards home plate to save a run and preserve a victory over the Broncos, my summer has been filled with memories.
It has been exciting to follow all of the players and talking with manager Brandon Kitch.
I’ve never felt so involved with the game before.
My love of the game has been rekindled, and I would like to thank the entire Bee Jays organization for that.
