Guadalupe Portillo, 71, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at his residence in Liberal.

He was born Sept. 3, 1941, to Alonso and Elena V. Nunez in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico.

He worked for National Beef Packing Plant for 30 years.

He is survived by one son, Luis Carlos Nunez and wife, Magda Guadalupe Nunez, Liberal; two brothers, Ramon Nunez, Juarez, Mexico, and Emeterio Nunez, Juarez; four sisters, Espranza Nunez, Liberal, Isabel S. Nunez, Juarez, Estela R. Nunez, Bell, Calif., and Teresa S. Nunez, Paris, Calif.; two grandchildren, Carlos Aaron Nunez and Vanessa Nunez; and two great-grandchildren, Aaron Alonso Nunez and Dumian Adan Nunez.

• Funeral mass will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
