Emergency responders were sent to Tyrone, Okla., Friday afternoon after a call came in concerning a collision near the town’s lone convenience store and relaying that a victim in one of the vehicles needed to be extricated. Here emergency workers excavate the driver of a white Pontiac Grand Prix from his car. The Grand Prix appeared to have collided with a Dodge Ram pickup with the Pontiac ending up in the ditch with many portions of the car broken. Firefighters and EMS workers from Seward County and Hooker were on hand to help the Tyrone emergency personnel. At least one person was taken to the hospital with injuries. No further details were available as of press time. Look for more details in Monday’s edition.  L&T photo/Robert Pierce.
