ELKHART – Irene Riley Anderson, 101, died Aug. 17, 2013, at her home in Albuquerque, N.M.
She was born March 18, 1912, to George Parker and Ethel (Robinson) Riley, on a homestead in southwestern Kansas. 
She began a career in real estate in 1972, and she worked until she was 90. 
She is survived by one son, Gene Anderson and his wife, Sydney, Okla.; two daughters, Delores Anderson, N.M, Shirley Wesselhoeft and husband, A.J., Louisiana;   sister, Bernice Riley Hellman, Colo.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friend and caregiver, Mary Beth Correnti.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Anderson, Ga.
• Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart with Rev. Dennis Reimer presiding. 
Burial will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery. 
Memorials are suggested to a charity of choice in Irene’s honor in care of Garnand Funeral Home, P.O. Box 854, Elkhart, KS  67950.
