The Forgan Lady Bulldogs outscored the Shattuck Lady Indians 32-11 in the second half to break open a close game and win, 59-35.
After leading by only three at the end of the first half and giving up 24 points, Forgan's defense went into shutdown mode allowing only six points in the third. At the same time, the Lady Bulldogs had their best offensive quarter of the night with 19, which made the score 46-30 heading into the fourth.
The first half was a much closer matchup.
Shattuck hung with the now 19-1 Lady Bulldogs, and trailed only 14-13 at the end of the first.
Forgan was able to increase their lead by two more in the second and led 27-24 at the half.
One area that was a brite spot for the Lady Bulldogs offense was their three-point shooting. Forgan made 10 of 26, with Samantha Leisher making four.
Kenzi Taylor led the Bulldogs with 14 points, including going 6 for 6 from the free throw line. Jaci McGill had 13 points, Samantha Leiser 12, and Miranda Lopez added 10.
The No.7 Lady Bulldogs will face Arnett on the road Friday.
