Obituary

Frank S. Chaffin, 88, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010.

He was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Liberal.

He married Margaret Maxine Miller Chaffin June 10, 1945, in San Diego. She survives.

He attended Oklahoma A&M College.

He was an engineer for GE Magnavox, as well as a machining inspector of Mercury Marine.

Other survivors include sons, Franklin Eugene Chaffin and wife, Pam, Simpsonville, S.C., Bill George Chaffin and wife, Patricia, Raytown, Mo., and John Craig Chaffin and wife, Laura, Stillwater, Okla.; daughter, Janine Cheryl Chaffin Stewart and husband, Ron, Piedmont, Okla.; brother, Emery Chaffin and wife, Miriam, Liberal; sisters, Ida Bess Chaffin le Fevre, Benton, Ark., and Paula Ann Chaffin Tournade, Liberal; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son, Stanley Chaffin; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

o Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Jan. 26 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor John Dickey presiding.

Burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater.
