MEETING ALERT - County calls special meeting to approve road repairs PDF Print E-mail

L&T staff report

Seward County Administrator April Warden notified the Leader & Times that a special conference call meeting between commissioners would take place to discuss road repairs at the landfill. By statute, the Seward County Commissioners do not have to require bids on projects less than $25,000, but Seward County had imposed a limit of $10,000 before requiring bids.

However, due to the history of no outside firms bidding on small repair projects, and the ability of J&R Sand to start as early as Wednesday, Warden said the conference call would allow the project to move forward.

For results of the conference call meeting, see Tuesday's Leader & Times.
