L&T staff report

The 7th grade South Volleyball team played four matches Tuesday at Horace Good middle school in Garden City. The Apaches went 2-2 on the night.

The Apaches were able to make quick work out of Hugoton in straight sets, earning the victory, 21-15, 21-11.

They could not overcome the host team in their second match, falling to Horace Good, 4-21, 6-21.

South then battled back-and-forth in a close match with Kenneth Henderson. In the end, that Apaches came away with the win, 6-21, 21-17, 18-16.

The Apaches were not able to end the night on a high note though, as they fell to their cross-town rivals, West, in straight sets, 13-21, 17-21.
