Obituary

George A. Carlile, 80, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Southwest Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 10, 1932, the son of Bud and Cora (Leatherman) Carlile, in Beaver, Okla.
He married Yvonne Campbell Dec. 1, 1951, at Clayton, N.M. She preceded him in death.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1952.
He was a truck driver and warehouse man for Nash Finch for 32 years.
He enjoyed Liberal BJ's and his grandchildren.
He is survived by one son, Alan Carlile and wife, Kim, Liberal; three daughters, Yvette Marie Franklin, Liberal, Yolonda Lee Carlile, Topeka, Tammy Hawk, Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
• Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Faith Tabernacle with Pastor Rex Petty presiding.
Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Miller Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the Faith Tabernacle Church or Liberal Bee Jays Baseball in care of Miller Mortuary.
