ULYSSES – Jeremy Charles Stein, 32, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.

He was born March 2, 1981, to Mike and Charlotte Marie (Richardson) Stein in Johnson.

He attended school and graduated from Ulysses High School in 1999.  He graduated with honors from Hutchinson Community College with an associates degree, and graduated from Washburn University with a BS degree in criminal justice.

He was an INE Technician in the oil and gas industry.

He enjoyed sports, guns and archery.

He is survived by his grandfather, Charles Richardson, Kendall; his parents; his son, Chase Cortez, Ulysses; his brother, Kyle Stein, Ulysses; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carol Richardson, and William and Ethel Coulter.

• Memorial service will be at 2 p.m.  Friday at the Country View Baptist Church in Ulysses, with the Rev. Sam Bynum presiding.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS  67880.
