A Beaver County, Okla., woman is being held in the Texas County, Okla., jail after being arrested Tuesday on charges pertaining to sexual misconduct with a minor.

Beaver County Undersheriff Scott Hedrick said Thursday an investigation is ongoing regarding Amy McVay, 36, who has been charged allegedly with one count each of second degree rape, possession of child pornography and offer or solicitation of sexual conduct with a minor.

McVay has bonded out on the charges, and the case is awaiting an investigation by the district attorney’s office before anything will take place in district court.

Hedrick said McVay works at the OB/GYN Clinic in Liberal. She was arrested after the Beaver County Sheriff’s office received phone calls from family members in regards to alleged suspicious activities with a minor.

Hedrick said McVay had been held in Texas County due to overpopulation in the Beaver County jail. He added with much still to be reviewed, law enforcement needs to continue with its investigation.
