Laverne Roberts Saunders, 88, died Oct. 4, 2013, in Lubbock.
She was born Oct. 26, 1924, to Lee and Letha Roberts, in Wheeler, Texas.
She and George Franklin Saunders were married Jan. 28, 1945.  He preceded her in death.
She graduated from Pampa High School and Amarillo Business College.
She influenced many people for the Lord by teaching Bible classes at church as well as many years of teaching at Boiling Springs Bible Camp, Black Mesa Bible Camp and through the World Bible School.
She enjoyed spending time in Bible Study, quilting, oil painting and gardening. 
She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Loyd) Wright, Flower, Mound, Texas, and Joyce (Jim) Foster, Lubbock, Texas; a brother, Grady Roberts of Spring, Texas, two sisters, Adell Walin, San Antonio, and Leola Bracey and husband, Ross, Carrollton; six grandchildren,  Jeff (Nancy) Foster, Gallup, N.m., Laura Wright, Lewisville, Texas, Julie (Joe) Bollinger, Arlington, Texas, Alan (Julie) Wright, Spring, Texas, Jase (Tosha) Foster, Shallowater, Texas; and Jeana (Mark) Culbert, Shallowater, Texas; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Organ; and sister, Marie Steed.
• Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Jeff Foster, her grandson, presiding.
Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors, Pampa. 
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m.  Tuesday, at the 12th Street Church of Christ in Shallowater, Texas, with Jeff Foster presiding. Family friend Denton Wiggains will lead the congregation in selected hymns.
