Seward County Community College/Area Technical School signed a formal transfer and articulation agreement recently with the Kansas State University College of Agriculture. The agreement will allow SCCC/ATS students who earn an associate in science degree with an emphasis in sustainable agriculture resources to transfer to KSU to obtain a bachelor or higher degree. Reaching the agreement fulfills one of the significant goals of the federal STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) grant awarded to SCCC/ATS in October 2011. Attending the signing ceremony were, from left, back row, Cynthia Rapp, SCCC/ATS dean of Academic Affairs; Kim Thomas, chair of the SCCC/ATS Agriculture, Business and Personal Services Division; and Janese Thatcher, SCCC/ATS Dean of Career and Technical Education, and front row, Dr. Duane M. Dunn, SCCC/ATS president, and Dr. Don Boggs, associate dean of the K-State College of Agriculture. Courtesy photo
