Some things don’t make sense PDF Print E-mail

I am not going to villainize a high school football player for an obvious mistake.

I believe Trenton Hammond would admit he should not have hit a defenseless receiver after the ball sailed 10 yards over his head.

On the drive prior to that, and the next scoring drive after, Hammond helped the Redskin offense score points.

He has been critical to the offense all season.

That doesn’t give a talented player justification to make a crucial mistake, but it doesn’t make sense to commit that penalty at that moment in the game.

It doesn’t make sense that this defense continues to surrender record-setting points.

Take out the Guymon game and Liberal has given up 45 points per game. No matter how good the offense is, you won’t win many games giving up that many points.

And it’s not all because of onsides. Friday, Great Bend started several drives inside their own 35 yard line and drove the length of the field.

It doesn’t make sense.

Even though other teams know Liberal is onsiding, that Liberal hasn’t recovered one in four straight games just doesn’t make sense. Even an accidental bounce should go your way once in a while.

And Great Bend’s helmet logo just doesn’t make sense.

For years, the Panthers have adopted some pirate theme. I’ve never seen a panther at sea, but Great Bend has adopted a pirate’s flag for the past several years.

Now, the skull and crossbones are actually on their helmets in place of the panther.

Maybe they should be the Great Bend Pirates.

But to be the Panthers with a pirate logo doesn’t make sense.

For Liberal to feel disappointed with a 3-3 record doesn’t make sense.

The Redskins only won two games each of the past two seasons  and lost 19 straight Western Athletic Conference games. Liberal has three games to go, and they can choose whether or not this will be a winning season or not, something that has not happened since Steve Warner was coach more than a decade ago

Only one of the three losses was not within Liberal’s grasp in the fourth quarter.

The Redskins are competitive.

We all want to win every game every time, but reality tells us that we are moving in the right direction. Pie-in-the sky expectations just don’t make sense.

Every team in Kansas is back to 0-0. The next three games will determine who is in and out of the playoffs.

The first six games really don’t count, and that doesn’t make much sense, either, but win two out of three, and it’s playoff time.

That makes sense.

Today I want tell to you in the form in which it was needed to come has already been given viagra for sale is a personal choice of each fellow buy viagra must comprehend every human without support.
