Dustin Betts, 21, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Beaver County (Okla.) Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 1, 1987, to Steve and Rebecca Sue “Becky” (Kramer) Betts in Omaha, Neb.
He was a 2006 graduate of Liberal High School and was also a 2007 graduate from Southwest Kansas Area Vo-Tech School in automotive mechanics.
He was employed at Chance’s Service Center as a mechanic.
Survivors include his father; two brothers, Scott Betts and wife, Betsy, St. Joseph, Mo., and Jim Betts and wife, Mariko, Liberal; one sister, Tara Logan and husband, Jason Brookfield, Mo.; grandparents, Thomas and Myrna Kramer, Bellevue, Neb., Patricia Betts, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Karen and Don McMorris, Tularosa, N.M., and Bob and Jan Cooper, Council Bluffs; two nephews, Tucker Betts and Blayden Betts; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
o Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Steve Seville presiding.
Burial of the cremains will take place at the Garner Township Cemetery in Council Bluffs at a later date.
Friends may sign a guest register book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second, Liberal, KS 67901.
