• Special to the Daily Leader

It’s time to start thinking “Pancakes on Parade.” The annual International Pancake Day parade serves as the culmination of the four-day celebration of Pancake Day events, and everyone can participate. This year’s theme is “Pancakes on Parade.”

There is no entry fee, and any group or individual is invited to enter a float in one of the following divisions: commercial, non-profit, schools, antique automobiles, and antique equipment. Cash prizes of $150 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third place will be awarded in each division.

The parade, sponsored each year by the Liberal Rotary Club, is set to begin at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16.  The parade is open to organizations and groups outside of Liberal, as well as local ones.

Entry forms are available at www.pancakeday.net under events/entry forms.
