FOWLER - Delilah Copenhaver, 63, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013.
She was born March 24, 1950, to Elginore and Mary (Garner) Shay,  in Scott City.
She married Gary Copenhaver. Aug. 5, 1973. He preceded her in death.
She graduated from Healy High School in 1968.
She received an associate's degree from Garden City Community College in 1970, and received a degree in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University in 1972.
She began teaching first and second grades in Fowler that same year.
In addition to teaching for six years, she was also active in many organizations in the community of Fowler, and most notably, Fowler Threshing Days. She helped organize the Christmas Angels for many years in the Fowler Community along with other “Country Girls.” 
She was a member of the Fowler United Methodist Church. She spent most of her time proudly helping her husband and son on the family farm.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her parents-in-law, Melvin and Ethel Copenhaver.
She is survived by her beloved son, Mark, Fowler and special friend, Kimberly Knopp, Liberal; her beloved sister, Peggy and Larry Roe, Oberlin; nephew, Tyler and Rachel Roe and great-nephew Decker, Basehor; nephew, Michael and Kacey Roe and great-niece Camdyn, Concordia; beloved brother, Vance and Dana Shay,  Healy; niece, Jordan and husband, Logan Dreiling, Scott City; nephew, Camron Shay, Healy; nephew, Jeremy Dewell, Dodge City; neice, Aubrey Dewell, Munds Park, Ariz.; and their dad, Dan Dewell, Kendall; She is also survived by a host of close friends and family that she will cherish forever.
• Celebration of life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Fowler United Methodist Church. 
Friends may call from noon until 7:00 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. 
Burial will follow in the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler.
Memorials are suggested to the Fowler Threshing Days in care of the funeral home.
