Free throws, free throws, free throws.

South’s eighth grade lsot in double overtime to Dodge City Comanche, 13-12, but they had several chances to put the game away at the free throw line and couldn’t take advantage.

The Lady Apaches only made five of 32 free throw attempts in the one-point loss.

South led at the nd of the firts quarter and at halftime. but Comanche rallied in the fourth quarter to take an 11-10 lead before Patty Alfaro made one of two free throws to send the game to overtime.

Neither team scored in the first overtime, but Comanche made a basket ealry in the seonc dovertime, and South was able to make one free throw by Evelyn Rios but missed a total of 12 overtime and double overtime free throws in the 13-12 loss.

Alfaro led the Lady Apaches with six points, Rios had three, Cynthia Gonzalez had two, and Alondra Alvarado had one.
